New Chef de Cuisine at the helm of Restaurant The White Room* by Jacob Jan BoermaTristan de Boer will be the new Chef de Cuisine of the Michelin-starred restaurant in NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam. Together with Signature Chef Jacob Jan Boerma, he continues the current direction of the restaurant, but not without adding his own creativity. Tristan takes over from Chef Randy Karman, who takes on another challenge.

Tristan de Boer is ready to take charge of the kitchen team and will start immediately after the summer holiday of The White Room*. He succeeds the young Randy Karman, who has been able to lead the kitchen of The White Room* passionately. During this period, Randy has integrated the distinctive style of Jacob Jan as well as followed his own creativity. Now he will focus on his future outside Minor Europe & Americas. We thank Randy for his commitment and drive and look forward to his continued success in the rest of his career.

I look forward to continuing to offer our guests in The White Room* our renowned culinary experience and introducing them to my creativity. It's a great challenge and as I'm born and raised in Amsterdam, I feel completely at home in this beautiful building on Dam Square.

Tristan de Boer

New Chef de Cuisine

Tristan de Boer started his career after his training in 2013 with Ron Blaauw** in Amsterdam. He then went to work at various star establishments such as Aan de Poel**, under the supervision of top chefs. In 2016 he decided to broaden his horizons as Sous Chef at Librije's Zusje** (now Spectrum**) in the luxurious Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam. Since 2018, Tristan has held positions as Head Chef at various high-end restaurants.

The Netherlands is bursting with young talents. It's great that with Tristan we can give such a young talent a chance in The White Room*
